Silvia Zulu: Historical Images from Zululand

Siliva Zulu is an extraordinary photographic exhibition of original pictures taken in Zululand in 1927 by Italian anthropologist Lidio Cipriani. A component of the exhibition is the silent movie, Siliva Zulu, which has been completely restored and digitalized. The movie was screened in 2015 at the IMPAC Festival at the Open Window Institute in Johannesburg. This exhibition has been made possible by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Pretoria, in collaboration with the Dante Alighieri Society, Pietermaritzburg.
