Children's Workshop

Experimenting with colour processes

In these workshops children will use the MACS Quilts exhibition on the walls as inspiration. On Tuesday, Leya and Jutta will help children to experiment with processes to add colour to fibres and materials. On Wednesday children will construct their own mini quilts from prepared materials and add recycled objects.

Making a Whimsical Wooden Object

Children will use the FUSION exhibition as inspiration. On Thursday, Bruce, Gill and Sue will guide children to construct an imaginative but useful object from shaped wooden pieces. On Friday they will provide interesting materials with which children can embellish their creations.

Issues of Culture, Identity and Religion exhibtion opens

This exhibition of artworks from the Gallery's permanent collection challenge notions of prejudice and stereotyping in the viewer to illustrate the artists' concern with them.
